Turn handwritten timesheets into an Excel sheet
Paper timesheets land on your desk at the end of the week. Retyping the hours is slow, and a typo can carry into payroll prep. Extraiga lets you upload the pages, name the columns you need, check the cells it marks, and export a sheet. It works the same way as [handwritten forms to Excel](/handwritten-forms-to-excel).
Each timesheet file becomes one row. If you want hours for each day, name a field for each day, such as Mon, Tue, and Wed.
How it works
- Upload one timesheet per file as an image, PDF, or TIFF (up to 20 MB each). Add the whole stack.
- Name your fields. Examples: Employee, Week ending, Total hours. You name them. Each field is a column. Each file is one row.
- Check Needs review, then export. Check highlighted cells, and check the hours against the original before you use the numbers. Then export to Excel, CSV, or Google Sheets.
Typed and handwritten pages both work, including scans and photos. Extraiga is a website, so there's no app to install.

FAQ
- Can it read handwritten hours?
- Yes. Extraiga works with handwritten and typed pages, including scans and photos. Check any highlighted Needs review cells against the original before you use the numbers.
- Does each day get its own column?
- Only if you name a field for it. Each file becomes one row, and each field you name becomes a column, so add fields like Mon, Tue, and Wed if you want hours per day.
- Can I export to Excel or CSV for payroll?
- Yes. Exports are Excel, CSV, and Google Sheets. Extraiga gives you the sheet of what is on the page. It does not calculate payroll.
